Spiritual Direction

Not all who come to Time for J.O.Y. realize that there may be a greater message to be received.  There may be dreams to be deciphered or paths to be discovered. A session with one of our beloved spiritual directors can help a young woman open her eyes to see in a new light what was before her all the while. Even if she doesn’t think she has much to share, simple questions and open ears can work wonders.

Spiritual Direction is offered to retreatants who voluntarily sign up.

Diane Hobson

A lifelong Episcopalian, Diane has about done it all at church: Sunday school teacher, altar guild, vestry, stewardship, completed EFM in 1996, completed certification in Spiritual Direction in 1999, led prayer and meditation groups, studied the spiritual meaning of dreams and taught dreamwork, working with individuals and groups in discernment through their dreams. She spent 32 years as a camp follower with her Air Force husband, moving 32 times in their 40+ years of married life. She’s the mother of two daughters and grandmother of two adorable children. Personally speaking, she shares, “I spent much of my young womanhood feeling overwhelmed and look forward to being with young women as they experience Time for JOY.”   We’re glad she’s here to share with us, too.

Rev. Susan Payne

Susan had the pleasure of joining us in 2008 as celebrant and has volunteered to join us again as a spiritual director.
